Free Tuition & Textbooks: Advance Your Career This Summer at Crafton Hills College, San Bernardino Valley College
Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College are offering free tuition and textbook rentals this summer, which means you can take classes without paying for them or buying textbooks.
To take advantage of this opportunity, all you need to do is register for classes at www.craftonhills.edu/go or www.valleycollege.edu/free. You can choose between online or in-person courses, depending on what suits you best.
Chancellor Diana Z. Rodriguez encourages everyone to participate, saying, “It can be challenging to take the first step towards your future when you have a part-time job and other responsibilities. But imagine this — you can work towards your career goals and earn a degree or certificate without worrying about the cost of tuition and textbooks. We want to empower you to take control of your future and achieve your goals.”
In California community colleges, tuition costs $46.00 per class unit, which is the most significant part of the enrollment fee. However, if you enroll in Summer 2023 at either Crafton Hills College or San Bernardino Valley College, you won’t have to pay this fee. There are still some small fees you need to pay, such as student registration fees that cover student services, health services, and student activities.
Parking will be free this summer too.
Crafton Hills and Valley College offers free tuition for summer courses only. Still, free textbook rentals will be available throughout the entire 2023–24 academic year.
Summer courses are available in five, eight, and ten-week sessions, allowing students to save time and money while working towards their degree.
Summer classes will begin on May 30, June 12, and July 3. You can find more registration information at www.craftonhills.edu/go and www.valleycollege.edu/free.
